Using Your Bonus Passes
In Your Benefits Folder
Your membership comes with a set of Omni, Planetarium / Laser, and Exhibit Halls passes. They are located in your red benefits folder that you picked up at the Museum when you purchased your membership on-site or that we sent to you with your membership cards. You receive one set of passes each membership year.
Basic members receive two passes for each venue, and Premier members receive four passes for each venue. Each pass may be used for one free ticket to the venue specified on the pass. These are one-time use passes.
Omni and Planetarium / Laser passes must be exchanged for tickets to specific shows. Like all theaters, ours have maximum capacities and shows can sell out. Once the passes are used, you must purchase tickets to those venues at the regular price.
Member passes need to be redeemed in person at the Membership Booth or box office. As a member you can reserve tickets on the phone using your passes. When redeeming passes and picking up your tickets, be sure to bring your confirmation number as well as the passes to be redeemed. Member passes cannot be used to reserve tickets online or used at a ticketing kiosk.
Exhibit Halls passes are collected at the gate and do not need to be exchanged for tickets. They can be used for visitors above the number of admissions your membership allows or given to friends. They're a great way to share the Museum with others.
During The Planetarium Renovation Only
Planetarium / Laser passes can be redeemed for Omni tickets while the Planetarium is being renovated. When the renovation is complete, they can be used only for Planetarium show tickets.
Sharing Passes
Current Omni, Planetarium / Laser, and Exhibit Halls passes can be given to friends to use when you can't join them. Passes may not be sold.
Expired Passes
If your membership passes expire before your membership does, do not throw them out. As long as you maintain a current membership, we will honor these passes even if they have expired.
Lost Passes
Unfortunately, we can not track or replace lost or stolen passes — you should treat them as you would cash.
