With so many troops sustaining the loss of limbs in Iraq and Afghanistan, there is new interest in prostheses that more closely resemble real arms or legs. This videocast focuses on research at the University of Michigan that could allow amputees to control prosthetic limbs naturally and even have a sense of touch in their artificial extremities.
